Use POMODORO technique while study longer for effective learning

We all know that smart and consistent work is the key to success. And when we talk about the study, then it plays an important step.
Whether you are preparing for any type of competitive examinations like CAT, GRE, GATE, IIT JEE, SSC, BANK etc, all needs study not less than 6-8 hours a day depending on your ability.

Also, for completing such target of 6-8 hours and getting knowledge effectively, we need something to act accordingly. If you study continuously for many hours then you will not be able to gain knowledge, you are just completing your 8 hours target but that is not going to help you at all. Also, you will be mentally tired to learn further.

So, to overcome this problem there is a technique mentioned in the title i.e POMODORO technique. This technique will help you to complete a task more effectively without having any physical or mental fatigue. Most of the toppers use this technique for study and get good results.

How it works/ How to use POMODORO technique?
  • Decide a task to do
  • Focus on the task
  • Start to do the task
  • Decide the time required to complete that task(number of Pomodoro cycles)
  • Avoid things which can distract you(phone, friends etc)
  • Perform task and take a short break after 25 or 50 minutes
Start doing the task and take a short break of 5 minutes after study of 25 minutes or in case you want to study for long then study for 50 minutes and take a short break of 10 minutes.

If you are studying just for general academics and you have a lot of time than you can work according to 25-5. But in case you are preparing for any competition exam like CAT, GRE, GATE, IIT JEE, SSC, BANK, then you should study as 50-10 (it means to study for 50 minutes and a break of 10 minutes)

It will help you to study effectively and what you study, it will be memories in your memory for a long time and you will be able to solve the numerical type of problems also because of the fresh mind.
  • Take a long break after 4 POMODOROs:
After 4 Pomodoro you have studied enough time and now you should take a long break before starting another Pomodoro.
The long break will be of almost 20 to 30 minutes depending upon your type of tasks.

Try not to do these things while Pomodoro short break.
