Wake up every day with the thought that "Today something wonderful is going to be happen starting from the morning"
Every time when we put alarm before sleep, we are so motivated to wake up early in the morning for study or do some important work, However, as soon as alarm rings, all the motivation and determination goes to hell and we snooze and finally stop the alarm and continue sleeping.



Waking up early in the morning when almost whole world is sleeping and nobody is there to disturb you is good for many important things like- Meditation (self-exploration), Exercise, Study, or Planning your whole upcoming day and most importantly, you will have 1-3 hours of extra time to take one further step to reach your goal closer.

For waking up early in the morning, it is really important what you do before sleeping, Before stopping the alarm, and just after wake up.

So, today we will discuss some practical tips to wake up early in the morning especially from a student point of view.

Before sleeping

  • Leave something excited for the morning:
There are always few things which excite us and we can wake up for it a whole night like- chatting with some friend, uploading a profile picture, seeing likes, again and again, etc right?(Take it positively just for waking up).

If you upload a picture on Instagram/Facebook just before sleeping, then it will make you feel excited to wake up and check early in the morning that how many likes or comments you have got. (But do not spend too much time on it when you woke up).

You can also try whatever excites you like- Download and play new mobile game in the morning, leave chatting in the night just before sleep without saying bye etc.
  • Keep your phone away from your bed:
Almost everytime when we snooze the alarm, it is just because the alarm clock or mobile phone is just one hand away from the bed or sometimes on the bed.

If you keep your alarm away from the bed, you will have to stand and walk to reach there and you almost wake up then.
  • Decide and keep everything ready for the morning:
One of the main reason that we do not wake up in the morning because we are not sure what exactly we have to do after wake up. Example- have you ever wake up late at the exam day, I think no. Cause you are absolutely clear about the topic, chapter, study material, time, place etc that what do you have to do just after waking up right?

So, whatever your plan is, Either it is exercise, Meditation, study, revision or anything you want, just keep everything ready about how, what, when, why, all of them before you sleep.
  • Meditate every time just before you sleep:
Meditation here really does not mean by going to some hilly area or forest and remembering God. Just before sleeping, sit or lay down comfortably and think about your dreams, why do you want to wake up early, and all the good things about it.

It will make your subconscious mind think whole night about it and prepare for it as well.
  • Enable puzzles/ calculation in your alarm:
There are so many good alarm application on the play store for mobile phone in which you will have to solve some puzzles or calculation before snoozing or stopping the alarm, which makes you wake up forcibly.

One of the good alarm application is Alarmy(sleep if you can). 
  • Drink at least two glass of water before sleep:
If you drink water before sleep, As soon as you open your eyes in the morning for closing the alarm clock, you will have to go to the washroom and you will have no choice then, you wake up!
  • Don't be a night owl:
We all have this bad habit to chat in the night and think of waking up in the morning. You can not expect to sleep at 3 o clock in the night and wake up again at 5 o clock. At least a good sleep of 6-7 hours is necessary especially if you are a student.

Before stopping the alarm

The first mistake we do while trying to wake up in the morning that, as soon as the alarm rings, we do not give our mind to think for a millisecond (cause we are on autopilot that time) and we stop the alarm. This time I want you to do following things before closing the alarm:
  1. Turn on the lights
  2. Fold the bed( if possible)
  3. Drink two glass of water if you are not feeling for the washroom.
To make sure you remind following things, you can write a note with your favourite quotes on the A4 sheet paper with marker and paste in front of your bed.

Just after closing the alarm

I can understand the situation of our mind just after when we close the alarm, this is the final step where most of the people fail.
Now your mind is able to think right? Now you have to fill something energetic in your mind so that you feel good and inspired that you woke up in the morning right?

You can do following things after closing the alarm:
  1. We all like watching videos right? You can watch inspirational videos.( make a collection of inspirational videos when you are free)
  2. You can read a book. Or you can watch book summary on youtube based on self-help, or biopic.
  3. You can write a diary and plan your day. It will make you productive.
If you do so, your willpower will be at the maximum level. Now, you can do whatever you wanted to wake for.

The key thing to Note:- Sleeping late is a very deep habit we have from many years right? I know it will be very hard thinking to wake up in the first attempt. But it is also not really that hard as well if you think about it.

As a famous book says, if you do it for 21 days, It will also go on autopilot and you will not have to even put an alarm for waking up in the morning.
