So, let's start:

  • Analyzing the paper?
Just after getting the question paper, spend at least 5 to 10 minutes on reading the question paper and analyze the level of questions.
It will help you in the selection of questions you have to write smartly in which you are comfortable and get more marks, Cause sometimes in hurry, we select wrong questions and waste time and energy.
  • Select the questions to write answer smartly?
There are certain types of questions which carry step/ pointwise marks and some not. Also, there are some questions which will never give you full marks in spite of writing a very good answer like an essay, long answer questions, etc. So, smart selection of question is necessary.
  1. Choose numerical questions over the theoretical questions if you are comfortable in both. Cause, in numerical question, if you get the right answer, you get the full marks and it carries stepwise marks as well.
  2. Choose pointwise questions over the theoretical descriptive questions cause, in pointwise questions like- classifications, applications, advantages, disadvantages, Steps, procedures of any process etc, the marks are based on the number of points you write.
  3. The answer which contains diagrams, have high chances of getting full marks if you make it correctly. Make sure to make diagrams with a pencil. Making diagrams without labeling leaves a bad impact, so do not forget to label your diagram.
Also, in numerical and pointwise answers you can save lots of time and you do not have to frame the questions to look it better.
  • Save time by attempting easy questions first:
At the beginning of the exam, we write answers very carefully which takes lots of time and at last, we have to leave difficult questions cause they need extra times.

So, the solution is, attempting the easy question first and try to solve as fast as possible, which you are very confident in.  so that you could get extra time for the difficult question in the last.
  • Don't waste much time on single questions:
There are always few questions which seem to be easy but we get stuck in it and we have to struggle to get the right answer right?

So, if you think that a question is taking longer than usual time, leave it for the last.
  • Divide the time for each section of the question paper:
If you have taken the mock test of your final paper, you might have the idea that how long will it take to solve each section right? if not, then you can roughly distribute time depending upon your speed.

It will tell you, in every moment that whether you are in time or out of time.

Note- you can also divide the time depending upon the marks of each section for simplicity.
  • Fill all the entries in the answer sheet at the beginning:
Filling all the entries are as important as writing the answer right? After starting the writing, you will not recognize how time will pass. So, make sure to fill all the entries at the beginning and also review it before the submission of the copy. Otherwise, you will make mistake in the hurry which can destroy your whole hard work.
  • Carry a water bottle to keep you energetic:
Carrying a water bottle to exam hall is a good idea. It saves your time of going out of the class and keeps you hydrated during the exam as well.

You can also mix glucose or take some energy drink in the bottle if you want. It will keep your mood fresh.
  • A fast answer for short answer questions:
Short answer questions do not need really big explanation and structure right? If you know the answer, do not waste your time to frame it or make it beautiful to look.
  • Avoid unnecessary designing on the answer sheet:
Some students want to make their answer sheet beautiful so they start making designs on it. Keep in mind, extra designs are not desirable to the teachers.

If you get some time in the last after attempting all questions, you can use it in highlighting, underlining, or make some designs if you want.

NOTE- Instead of making designs, try to draw some diagrams to explain the long answer question even if not asked in the questions. It will leave a good impression on the teacher.
  • Don,t forget to carry a wristwatch with yourself:
Although teachers will tell you the time in every 30 minutes that is not enough. You may need to watch time after every two question. It will help you to manage time.
  • Be in word limit:
Sometimes when we answer the easy questions, we don't realize the word limit and goes on writing more and more.

Keep in mind that writing more than the word limit wastes your time, it will not give you extra marks than specified and also it leaves a bad impact on the evaluator.
  • Not a very lengthy paragraph:
Nobody likes to read the lengthy paragraph. No matter how good your content is, if the evaluator will not read that, he will end up giving you average marks.

Advise is, give your answer in points or steps. And take care that not a single paragraph should be more than 5-6 lines. It will make your copy look beautiful.
  • Attempt all questions in any condition:
If some of the questions are still left unattempted at last because you have no idea what to do or you think that I have already attempted lots of questions, then you are definitely not going to get maximum marks.

You should at least try to complete the question, write anything related to it which results to increase your marks even more. But try to attempt these questions only in the last.
